Craft Matters is a not-for-profit company that was founded by a group of people who believe passionately in the importance of craft and craftspeople in the modern world.

With the advent of AI and our transformation to a digital society, craft skills are arguable more important than they have ever been before. In this environment , craft skills can provide meaningful, resilient and locally rooted work. Crafting also has a role to play in to recycling and reusing materials in a creative manner. And, not least, in a world of constant digital noise and increased stress, the act of producing objects and food by hand can have significant mental health benefits whilst also offering opportunities to bring communities together.

Our objective is to support those already earning their living from a craft and to help the wider public rediscover the curiosity, creativity and passion that craftsmanship has inspired for centuries.
